Community First Bank Honored with Economic Impact Award

November 6, 2025 – Community First Bank (CFB) is proud to announce that it has received the Economic Impact Award at the Greater Kokomo Annual Awards. This prestigious honor recognizes organizations whose investments create transformational impact within the community.

Founded in Kokomo in 2003 by a small group of local bankers and business leaders, CFB was built on a clear vision: to provide Howard County with a local bank dedicated to helping the community thrive. Today, that vision continues to drive the bank’s growth and commitment to service.

Highlights of Community Impact and Growth:
Job Creation: Employs 156 team members, including 113 in Kokomo.
Rapid Expansion: More than doubled in size over the past five years, nearing $1 billion in assets.
Local Investment: Operates three full-service branches, one standalone investment office, and a new downtown administrative headquarters acquired in 2025.
Community Giving: Donated $165,000 to Kokomo nonprofits this year alone, with a cumulative impact of $1.5 million since its founding.

This award highlights Community First Bank’s steadfast commitment to Kokomo and the communities it serves. Through strong local investment, the bank continues to create lasting impact and remains dedicated to building on that promise.
