Community First Bank of Indiana makes donation to Family Service Association of Howard County

Kokomo, IN- Community First Bank of Indiana is pleased to present a donation to Family Service Association of Howard County. FSA is a non-profit organization that promotes healthy families and empowers vulnerable families through education, prevention, and crisis intervention programs. Community First Bank raised funds during their 4th Annual Dunk a Banker event at the Downtown Strawberry Festival in Kokomo.

The “Dunk a Banker” event is put on by Community First Bank’s CFBCares team. This group of Community First staff coordinates volunteer opportunities and promotes community involvement within the bank. Every year, local celebrities get in the dunk tank and help raise money for a local not for profit. Some of the celebrities this year included, Bryan Bitner from Ignite Payment Solutions and Joe Martino from FSA. Balls could be purchased 1 for $1 or 6 balls for $5 with all proceeds benefiting the Family Service Association.

“This is our 4th year organizing the Dunk a Banker event and every year it just keeps getting better and better! We raised over $1,800 in one day for FSA and it’s all thanks to our community. It’s so important to us to be actively involved in our communities and helping make them a better place to live. The Family Service Association is such a wonderful organization and we wanted to show our support for what they do for this community. We hope people see that our company name and slogan is not just a slick marketing phrase but what we’re truly about.” Stephanie Beck, Marketing Manager of Community First Bank of Indiana.
